Italian tourist was killed in Tunis after protesters blocked a road and threw stones at his vehicle as he was crossing a road in the country’s south, local media reported.
The incident occurred in the town of Ghezzan, in the south of the country, the Mediaset daily said on Sunday.
The car driver, a 50-year-old Italian man from Milan, was taken to hospital, according to the daily, which did not identify the victim.
A spokesman for the local Tunisian interior ministry said the driver had not been identified.
Tunisia’s interior ministry also did not confirm the incident.
