Florida is getting some good news from JetBlue, as the company announced today that it is expanding its nationwide travel information for residents of the state.
The announcement comes as JetBlue is trying to lure more residents to its travel program.
The company said in a statement that the expansion is the result of increased customer service and increased demand for the travel information.
“With more than 100 million passengers, Florida residents are the second largest group of visitors to JetBlue in the United States and we are committed to helping them navigate our network and the travel options available,” the company said.
“Our customers know that if they need to make a quick decision, they can call 1-800-JETBLUE, or they can access a map of the Florida area.”
The expansion of the travel service is aimed at increasing JetBlue’s ability to serve more residents, who can now access the information from their phone, according to JetBlues CEO David Shaughnessy.
This is a good move, but it also is important to understand that the growth of this market is a long-term investment that is driven by demand and a growing customer base.
JetBlue will be able to better serve Florida residents as its network expands, Shaughnessesy said.
As of Tuesday, JetBlue had more than 1.1 million customers in the state, according the company.
The company said that the new expansion will include the Orlando area, Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and parts of the Orlando metropolitan area.
JetBlacks expanded its services to the state in June of 2017, with a focus on Florida.
